Q: Will the all GEN 1 (original) ball mounts work with the GEN 2 ball mount accessories?

• A: No, due to the design of the GEN 2 mounting system only the GEN 2 compatible ball mounts will work with the GEN 2 mounting system.

Q: Will the ball mount work with our brand ball mount accessories?

• A:  All Ciro ball mount accessories used our compact 5/8" ball mounting system. You will need to confirm the ball size with the brand of mount your using.

Q: I ordered a clamp and there is not adapter ring, should the kit have came with one?

• A: No, not all clamps come with adapter rings. Kits 50148, 50134, 50135, 50130 and 50131 will NOT come with any adapter rings and will only work for the size bar your ordering it for. 

Q: Is there an ideal spot to install the clamp?

• A: Yes, you need to bar to be as round as possible. The areas to stay away from are any corners. The bars will have more of an oval shape the closer you get to the corner. The best is to stay 2"-3" away from any corner.

Q: Is there a piece of rubber or plastic that goes between the handlebar and the clamp to protect the surface?

• A: No, we do not include any rubber or plastic insert to go between the clamp and the handlebar. We make our clamps to fit tight around the bar to keep them from moving around. Rubber and plastic inserts crack and break and will lead to the clamp coming loose. Some customers try to do a single ring of tape under the clamp to protect the bar but it is NOT recommended, this will NOT protect the bar like you think it will.

Q: Will my clamp kit come with a reducer?

• A: The only kits that will include a aluminum reducer are the 7/8" to 1" and 1-1/8" to 1-1/4" clamp kits. All other kits will only work for the bar size they are designed for.
